Mobile control schemes are already not great for shooters - though they can be passable - but the addition of Fortnite's building mechanics makes building a competitive touch-based control scheme a real challenge. Coming in second are controllers, which are perfectly fine but less accurate then a mouse, and while nobody's tried them yet we have to assume that motion and touch controls will find themselves dead last. The chief concern is balance: Fortnite is simple to learn but has an astronomical skill cap, and as with other shooters there's little doubt about the best control scheme for ascending that ziggurat: mouse and keyboard gives you more accuracy and puts more controls at your fingertips at any given moment.
